Stanford University announces plans to clone human embryos
WOW! I don't know if this is entirely advisable.....I can just see the headlines screaming anto-cloning news....Although it is for a good cause because alot of times, stem cell treatment is the most effective way to grow new 'weapons' to fight the disease. However, this issue leads almost seamlessly into another controversial matter with regards to the procreation of human embryos (brothers or sisters to be less impersonal) specifically to be generators of stem cells to be harvested. We'll see what happens.
Christmas is coming and New Year's is coming. After that there will be one month of solid work (yes, no public holidays in January!) followed by CHINESE NEW YEAR!
Raya has come and almost gone....though looking around the office and even some roads around KL, you'll think it was still here.....There's hardly anybody around.
I was involved in an accident just before Hari Raya. Clumsy old me accelerated into the back of a Kembara at a roundabout. It was a case of bad driving for me because I stepped on the pedal without confirming that the woman drive in front of me, although having pushed the nose of her Kembara so far out into the traffic, still hadn't moved....Well, it was an expensive lesson. Cost me RM700 to replace my bonnet, grill, have some knocking done to realign crooked bits of metal....
C'est la vie!

So, have you guys heard of the above before? I was just talking about this with a friend earlier in the week and here we have the most recent winners!
Well, it's that time of the year again! December.....when Hari Raya is going to be celebrated as well as Christmas and people rush to get home to be with loved ones and families....There is no other time in the year that inspires people (or the other extreme!) like this time of the year.
Each year, December never fails to put people in the mood for good spirits, love, reflection and a lightness of heart. Even when you encounter a bad driver on the road, he's liable to get away with it because you're too busy thinking about tonight's dinner with your family.
KL's going to be empty since it's the Immigration State of Malaysia. I will be going home too but can't afford to go home too many times....only at the end of the year in order to celebrate the birthing of 2003 with my family and friends.
Selamat Hari Raya and Merry Christmas And a Happy New Year!!!! to friends and acquantainces and everyone out there who is celebrating .....or not.
TO my mum, dad, sister: Janice, friends: Lisa and hubby Ban Hu, Melinda, Szu Ping, Thing May, Kong Wai, Nigel, Elene, Tubbydolphin, Adam, Michael, Danny......Happy Holidays and Happy Chinese New Year!
(I know getting ahead of myself)

Hi there! Time's running out on my one-month assignment here at my new project. I have learned lots and had fun doing it. Just have to wait and see if they extend my posting.
This coming Sunday is the KL Duck Race! We have a duck just waiting to win. His name is ED and whoever doesn't have a duck but is interested in supporting one, Ed's your man!
Gosh, so much has been happening lately that it is kind of difficult to keep up and report about it....but suffice to say I've been running around and travelling alot especially since my sister is back from the States.
We just came back from Haadyai so we bought a lot of new stuff at unbelieveably affordable prices. Had my favourite massage as well.
Just reread Ender's Game and is a little bit into Speaker for the Dead....you guys who haven't taken me up on my invitation to read the trilogy should be punished!
Anyway, my parting words for this session are: Enjoy Life....Take Care...Love Somebody

So what on earth has been happening with Blogger? I just read some of my past blogs and thought, damn, I have learned so much in the past year. Of course some of the things that I have learned but not been able to put up due to some Blogger mishaps. Wonder if they've remedied it. I would love to keep writing so friends and family can see what's been going on with me!
Let's see if this goes through....

Yahoo! News - Miss Universe Fired, to Be Replaced by Runner-Up
To think that beautiful woman won just so she could get fired! No, no, that's not the case but I think it is just plain dumb to have come so far but risk as well as sacrifice all that you have accomplished.
Why would she shame herself as well as her country like that! I can bet you the promotion to captain doesn't come anymore....
Life has been busy so forgive me for not writing more often. I cannot wait for the new Lord of the Rings movie 2 to come out in December.
I just came back from a hectic weekend in Penang. I think everywhere around the world, whenever you go home, however long you go home, it is never enough.
By the way, had dinner last night at TGI Friday's at Section 14. Let me tell you the service there was baddish and the menu selection isn't too great either. And to think I 'chose' (through a coin toss) Friday's over Sushi King....never again! Chili's anytime for me!

Well, Good times come and Good times go....BUT then, Bad times come and Bad times go too. So sometimes when the world feels horrible and sad, remember the happy occasions that touched your heart and made your day.
Received two bits of news on Tuesday that has got my mind ringing until now....
Good news: I may become famous to some people
Bad news: I have lost my standing with some people
I know it's easy to say 'Head up, Things will look better soon!' but not quite as easy to actually follow through with it. These are the times when you need your friends....friends who will be there to hold your hand and lend you an ear and a shoulder because not everyone can understand what you are saying.
I just read this very good saying: "Friends may not be able to pull you up but they will always think of ways not to let you fall!"
Friendship is an important ingredient in life. No matter where you go, no matter what you do, you will always deal with people. It is up to you to decide if you want to make them your friends....Through my good news, I may gain many friends and acquaintances, through my bad news, I seem to think and feel that I have lost one.....not lost a friend....but a change in the type of friendship we had built together.
So, what do you do? Cry a little and then rest to face another day. I could probably do it by myself but rest assured, I have done it better with my friends!
